My Story

I immigrated from Poland in the year 2000 when I was just 11 years old. It was a struggle to survive in an unknown country for a few years, but as they years went by life started to get better and better. You know, the “American dream”! I am truly blessed to be here in the good Ol’ U.S of A as an American citizen. My American dream however was finally complete when I married the love of my life on July 1st, 2017; the woman whom I spent 10 years with prior to our wedding day. Can’t ask for a better life.

I started detailing when I was just 17 years old. No buffers or polishers at that time! Strictly “wash and wax”. Nothing but over-the-counter products I could buy locally at a cheap price to maximize the little profits I was making. The following year, I finally saw some money coming in, granted, I was also working another job at the same time. This allowed me to buy the car of my (then) dreams, an Infiniti G35 Coupe. What a machine for an 18 year old! That’s when my car care skills really got better. “Loving your car” as they say is a true meaning. Why should a car have scratches or swirls when it can be defect free? I unfortunately was forced to sell the G35 due to electrical issues at just barely 70k miles. That’s when I discovered the Hyundai Genesis Coupe 2.0T. What a change from the G35, but I loved it. It was the first brand NEW car I owned at just 21 years old. To keep a long story short, when the 2nd generation of the Genesis Coupe came out, I bought it at pre-order and still have it to this day. It is a 2013 3.8L Grand Touring model. It has been very good to me since day one. You will definitely notice it from my Youtube videos, yep, that’s the one.

My detailing business really hit it off in 2013, I was happily 4 months booked in advance. At the age 24 it is a dream come true. I detailed everything from cars, to boats, and also private airplanes. My machine at the time was a Porter Cable, Griots Garage, and a Flex. I had a Dewalt rotary, but rarely used it. My current weapon of choice is a Rupes Mark II.

I finally saw a “brand” change in 2014 and 2015. I suddenly had a ton of BMW’s, Mercedes, Audi, Cadillacs, Porsche’s, etc. The work was profitable, but many had what detailers call “hard paint”, it took time and patience.

In the last few years I’ve been privileged to work on cars for the local auto shows, exotics, super rare vehicles (1 out of 8 in the U.S.!), and meet some very important, powerful, and also very nice individuals who continued to support me throughout the years.

I made this page to share my knowledge, past experience, thoughts, and to keep me busy during the cold Chicago winter months. I owe everything to my wife who has supported me in this journey for the last 10 years and stuck with me when times were tough.
